Health and Welfare

Start the new year off right with an annual physical exam. The Health and Welfare Plan’s $400 annual physical exam benefit, which is not subject to the medical deductible, is available to you and your spouse if you are an Active or Retired Employee. This benefit includes baseline mammograms. Remember, you can save money by using PPO providers since they have agreed to charge negotiated rates that are usually lower than what other providers charge.

If you are a retiree and you and your beneficiaries received a pension benefit last year, you should have already received a Form 1099-R. Your pension benefit is taxable income, which is reported to the Internal Revenue Service. You may change the amount of taxes you have withheld from your monthly pension check at any time.
